M&E Polymer Keyless D

Hi

I have an M&E keyless polymer D flute, but I have no idea what cut of embouchure this has (or might be regarded as). Does anyone else have one and a view as to the cut of the embouchure on this flute (perhaps in comparison to McGee embouchures)??

Ade

It has the “standard” cut that most irish flutes have, an elliptical embouchure.

Yes.
That being said, I do have an M&E headjoint with more of a 2 semi circles embouchure. It’s a custom, half lined cocobolo head.
Just look at yours. You’ll easily see what shape the embouchure hole is. Is it round, or sort of egg shaped with a curved outer edge (the edge you blow against) as is probably the case, it is an elliptical embouchure.
You might as well have posted this question in your previous thread you know.

Mmm. I do love a well sherried dram of
whisky
