I’ve been trying for a few days to order the first album from the Lunasa website and can’t get into the “store” part of the site. I’ve tried on two computers using two different browsers. I sent them an email and got a reply that they were checking on it. Could someone here go to the website (www.lunasa.ie) and see if you can get into the store? Thanks.
Susan

The main website worked fine. When you select store, it loads a sound file and calls another website. That website seems to be offline. At least, it was when I tried it with two different browsers on a DSL line.
Internet is like that, I suggest you try back later.
If you can’t wait… you might contact:

They should have several Lunasa CD’s in inventory
Errr… why not just order it from Amazon.com? Or buy it at your local record store? All three albums are now released in the US, they should be easy to get even in Utah.
True colomon, they have Lunasa, Otherworld and Merry Sisters available. Around $15 each.

Just happened to be looking at the site when I decided to order the CD and then got sidetracked with why I couldn’t get into their store. Actually I found the CD on Half.com for about $10.
Thanks everyone!
Susan
Was that a new or used CD?
They say it’s “perfect, never used” for $10. The new CDs (still wrapped) range from $14 to $16. I’ve ordered books and CDs from half.com before and never had a problem with quality. Any dings in what you’re ordering are described in their listing.

Celticgrooves is excellent for hard to find, imported CDs, but for artists like Lunasa, you might as well go out to your record store - you’re quite likely to find their albums at most commercial chains and also independant stores that sell Irish music. Look under “World Music”, “Celtic” or some other similarly rediculous label.
Best,
Chris
The first album is not as easy to find since I understand it’s not in general release. I haven’t run across it at any stores locally anyway.
Susan
The first album is indeed in general (US) release. It used to be released in Ireland only and hard to find, but the US version has been out for months. Plus it’s got a bonus track not on the Irish version.
I bought one at Border’s (for a friend’s birthday) just last week.
The first album has indeed been rereleased, with an additional track. It is available all over the place - Borders, Barns and Noble, Coconuts, Strawberries, etc. You should be able to find it fairly easily, or at least be able to order it through your local store.
Best,
Chris
