Hy, folks. On Luke Kelly’s Album “The collection 36 Great Songs” Is the song “Hand me down my bible” recorded. In the beginning he talks about a Dr. E.N. or Dr. Ean or whatever to whom the song is dedicated. I can’t understand it properly. So can you help me who is meant.
Phew, it’s half past midnight my end so I shall rely on my memory banks - I think it refers to Dr Ian Paisley, leader of the DUP in the six counties. Luke would not ~ ahem ~ have been sympathetic to that gentleman’s cause… I’ll check in the morning but if you don’t hear from me, or someone else, to the contrary, it means I think I’m right!
Steve
Thank you very much!
