Got told last night at the session that Lucy Farr died on Monday. Originally from Co Galway, Lucy was one of the long term stalwarts of the London irish scene through the fifties and onwards.
She was apparently still playing up to the end. She was a wonderful fiddler and a lovely person, 92 is too young. She will be greatly missed. If you don’t have it check out the cassette of her playing released a few years ago.
