Lucky Us

I’ve been watching the board as an interested bystander. I have always been a fan of the uilleann pipes. When David Power’s name came up connected to a move to Red Bank, New Jersey, it caught my eye as I live a stone’s throw away. A teacher landed in the backyard! We met, and I count myself (and my 13-year-old son) very lucky to sign on as his students. So, we’ve started on the tin whistle…
Our impression of David is that he’s a gifted musician and teacher, and it is a pleasure to forward his message that he is available for instruction to interested parties. David can be reached at 732-291-5217.

Happy Christmas,
John Sweeney

John…
WELCOME to the C&F message board!!

Best of luck and skill in the tradition to you, John, and welcome!

Welcome John…as a piper with a bit over a years experience I had my first lesson with David Power just the other night. You are definatley in good hands and will be taught in the traditional sense of purity. Start listening to alot of Irish traditional music and you will find that your ear will develope quicker. David is certainly an inspiration.
