I recently bought The Low Whistle Book at a music store. I can’t remember the authors, but it is a very informative book.
The CD on the other hand, claims to have over 100 tracks on it. It only goes up to 80. Which leaves outMOST of the music tracks, which is what I particularly wanted. Was this ever corrected and I bought an old edition? Please someone advise.
Ahh, I too got ripped off by the lack of tracks on said CD. Of course, I ordered it over the 'net, so I didn't even have a chance to read the fine print. But here's another caveat for potential buyers: if you do need the CD to figure out the ornaments - several of the example tracks are blank - that is, I'll que up the track, the little intro of the guy reading the printed explanation of the ornament comes on, and then...nothing. Now, I'm not sure if there's even supposed to be a sample audio bit of the ornaments in question, but both the book and the CD make it sound as if there should be; anyway, what's the point of the CD if they aren't going to give you a demonstration? So, for what it's worth, that's another possible caveat to beware of.
