Just out of curiousity, I’m wondering how do the dimensions of a low D whistle compare to the dimensions of a Boehm flute?
Also, does anyone make a narrow bore low D? (This may have been asked before, but I couldn’t find it in the archives.)
Thornton, Ronaldo Reyburn is making a narrow bore Low D I believe. His standard bore Low D is larger than most Low Ds and the narrow bore is narrower than that, so I’m not sure how it compares to other makers standard bore.

Length of a Boehm Flute is just slightly longer.
If you were comparing a Low-C whistle to a Boehm with a C-foot, they would be close with a few parameters such as the embouchure hole vs fipple dimensions and bore size have a little effect on it.
Susato low D = 23 and 1/4 inches
Seery flute = 26 and 1/2 inches
Gemeinhardt 3SSB flute = 27 and 1/2 inches
Measurements are approximate since all I had handy was a 12-inch ruler.
