low C advice

I’m looking to get a low C aluminium whistle and wonder if anyone can help in the choice between Burke and Overton. thanks

Wow! Someone looking for a low C twice in one week.

Both the Overton and the Burke are very good whistles and should serve you well. I’ve no direct experience with the Overton low C but have had experience with the more common low D. Great whistle. I am sure Colin Goldie would make you a really nice whistle

I own a Burke aluminum low C and have played it for the past few years. I like it a great deal. I have no complaints with it at all. I settled on the Burke mostly because I prefer more open whistles. I have a bunch of other Burkes as well (about 25 whistles). I like Mike’s work.

I’ve owned other low C’s too. Burke and Overton are top shelf makes. You really can’t go wrong.

Thanks for the advice. Is the stretch on the Burke much more than the Viper? cheers

Without getting too precise, I eye-balled my aluminum Viper low D against my Aluminum low C (circa 2002). The stretch is about 1/4" (6-7mm) wider on the low C for each hand over the stretch on the low D. That doesn’t present any stretch issues to me, YMMV.

Thanks for the help.
