Lots of closet cleaning and upgrading going on with the robust UPing items rushing to ebay lately. But still no real signs of desperation selling of any K&Q, Woof or Fromant sets (unfortunately) these days. Several dust collecting shirt hanger-half sets and firelog poker practive sets being dumped to raise cash and just a bunch of crusty parts, plastic pipes, retread sales, and tutor books. Although an occaisional opportunity to pick up an actively played set (i.e. Childress B) being sacraficed for an upgrade is the most interesting item on the sale rack. ![]()
Well, I wouldn’t say sacrificed… ![]()
Its sort of like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, C flat sets it turns are “just right” for me and my finger/arm length, I can relax and get around the instrument with ease. The B set you sort of put on like a suit of armor and is for me a much more physical instrument to play, particularly with the longer regulator span. The finger span on the B chanter is really quite comfortable and I have very small hands. What I wish I had were longer arms…
I do have a deposit in on a new 3/4 C set, so I am somewhat more motivated to find a new home for the Childress B set. If anyone is interested, lets talk… This set deserves a good home.
Cheers,
Michael
If you like C-flat so much, why are you selling your B set?

Michael,
My apologies to you if the choice of wording “sacrafice” was inappropriate, as nothing negative was intended. I guess a better description would be that the set is being sold as you plan to play a flat set which will be honed or more optimal to play with your physique.
Best of luck.
Neil
