Can someone tell me where I can buy her CD’s?
Don’t say COMA,they’re incompetent.Funny thing I found her street address on the internet but can’t find her CD’s.

Tayberry lists Celtic Mettle but not their latest album.

Lorreto Reid & her husband perform out of Ontario Canada and have several albums out. I don’t know if you U.S. people have these things but here in some stores (candle shops/drug stores etc.) they have a display set up where you can push a button to hear one track of a recording and they often have lots of different “new age” type recordings (piano in the rainforest etc…) We have picked up a couple over the last year or so as we were attracted by the great Irish playing and found when we read the liner notes inside that Lorreto Reid and her husband were the musicians!

Tidemark Music and Distribution is based in St. Johns, Newfoundland and Hallifax, Nova Scotia. Their website mentions the folowing:

“Loretto Reid and Brian Taheny hail from Sligo, one of the most famous musical countries for traditional music in Ireland.”

Yeah, we have those “listening stations” here. You can lisen to maybe 30 or 40 new releases (parts of them anyway), of all kinds of different music, at the local Border’s store here. Thsi store is great they a huge selection of Irish music.

Oooops, I just reread your post and realized what you were talking about those “new agey” CD’s you see on the racks. Yeah, we have them too. Now I am curious, I will have to go in and see if they list Reid and Taheny as the musicians.

With respect to another thread on the board recently about the best whistlers playing other instruments, I noticed that Reid plays Tin Whistle, Irish Flute, Concertina and Button Accordion.

Reid and Taheny will be playing, as usual, at the Celtic Roots Festival in Goderich, Ontario. It’s a nice festival. It used to be called Earth, Air, Fire and Water but I guess that was too long and not much to the point.

Brian Taheny is an excellent string instrument player. One of the best bouzouki players I’ve ever heard.

If you’re Eubie am I Buddy Rich?
I got that Loretta Reid CD for you from Shoppers Drugmart here in Windsor. It is called Celtic Flair, and it is anything but relaxation music.
