Lord of the Ring's Symphony

Saw it last night at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall. Howard Shore conducted it and everything…it was simply amazing!!!

Now the guy that was playing the whistle…I really could not tell what whistle it was…I know it was an expensive one and I can’t tell those apart. It almost looked wood from where I was (third tier box), but I had also just finished drinking a taquila sunrise so I really couldn’t tell. He also played a low whistle for the Lothlorien theme…THAT was lovely!

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous!

Thanks! My dh photoshopped it for me. I’m kind of partial to the song. Can’t imagine why.

You notice on some of them, Howard Shore isn’t conducting it…hmmm. :frowning:

Guess I’ll have to wait for the eventual CD.

If you missed the phenomenal performance in Philly you can still catch the LOTR Symphony because tickets just went on sale online for the first performance in Hartford on Sept. 18 at 8 pm. www.hartfordsymphony.org. As per howardshore.com it’s still the only performance in the Northeast.
