Looking for Titanic sheet music

Am I just looking in all the wrong places, or has no one produced sheet music for Titanic? I’ve found it for every instrument on the planet except the tin whistle.

Do you mean the theme song? If so, just use the vocal music. If you mean the tunes the band plays below decks, you need to watch the movie to figure out the names of the jigs/reels then look for them on JC’s ABC tunefinder site.

Heh, I went searching on google for the tunes played… I knew it was Gaelic Storm… I still haven’t found the names of the tunes, but one of the top google hits I got was this: http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?topic=1886&forum=1

Ahhh…

A newbie with a Titanic question. Makes me nostalgic for the good old (pre-war) days of our little post-structural message board.

“newbie”?

Jim_mc, you wouldn’t happen to play Ultima Online would you?

“Newbie” because it was your first post. That’s not an insult here at C&F - we love newbies!

No, I don’t play Ultima Online. I play the whistle. And I rock the house with a fife.

False hope…

Why did I think this thread was about “Titanium sheet whistle” ?

Hello!

A few tips for you here. For the sound track song, look at: The book of Titanic music for the alto Sax. It has a version of the instrumental written in the key of D. You can use that quite nicely on the whistle.

Check out other books as well, flute etc. to see if there are any songs written in G or D (One sharp, or two #, ##)

They will work perfectly for your whistle.

Traditional tunes: Some of the tunes played below deck are “John Ryan’s Polka, the Blarney Pilgrim and the beginning of Drowsey Maggie.”

Best of luck!

Sandy

That was exactly the type of information I was looking for!
