Looking for music: Tico Tico

Anyone know where to find the music for a song:

Tico Tico

It’s a familiar tune to me, and it’s played quite bit on guitar.

It’s not Irish, but sounds like it would be fun to play.

Its in many of the Jazz and Latin Fakebooks, I have seen it. It may still be under copyright but not for long.

But there is a lot of chromatic stuff - you wouldn’t want to play it on a whistle? Unless it was a keyed whistle.

Why not? That’s what half holing’s for!!

LOL! I bet you don’t know the tune. Well let’s see: if you can play “flight of the bumbe-bee”, then Tico-Tico should not be a problem for you.

You’re not wrong!!!
Bet it would be good practise though.

Waitingame, I like your avatar. Looks so European

Gosh, Claudine, you’re right again!!

It’s here http://users.pandora.be/saelsm/tico_tico_1.htm

It would make a fine cornet solo but you would rather break your fingers than play it on a whistle. (It’s played very fast, of course).

Actually, Claudine, I’ve thought about trying “Flight…”

If I play them fast enough maybe folks won’t notice how badly I miss the chromatics!

THANKS Waitingame

Here’s a sound clip of my (other) band playing it:

Relatively easy on sax, purt near impossible on whistle!
