looking for low C whistle

does anyone have low C whistle and willing to sell it to me please ? I am in asian pacific, and I will pay the shipping cost, Thanks

Try http://www.albawhistles.com/

They make a low C for £90 ($125 ?) plus shipping cost.

I recently bought their low Bb, and it’s definately worth the money.

HTH

I’ll second you on this choice.
I have an Alba low C, and just sent it back for an extra, Bb, tube.
The very easy finger reach for a C is a bonus. If you can finger a normal Low D, you can use this C no problem.

does your guys goto order from online shopping cart ?

Bb extra tube is additional ?!

Yes, but you can email ALBAWHISTLES@aol.com too.

Yeah, it’s being mounted in “Drilling” as the famous whistlemaker Holland & Holland used to: two wide bores (12 gauge) for C and Bb, and one high D carbine just under, for a coup de grâce in third octave. An Uillean regulator keywork allows me to choose what barrel is active.

Now seriously: The C being made in big bore tubing, it has the same head as a Bb. The whistle being tunable, all Alba does is making a second tube tuned to Bb, i.e. an interchangeable barrel.

OK, I will email that guy later on,

Zub, how much does it cost to get an extra tube on low C whistle ? if it’s an accaptable price, I would buy them together at once.
Thanks.

Howard also makes a low c, which is pretty good, but have never played the alba. Best

Cillian makes a great one too! you can also get a bunch of extra tubes in different keys…

You can also order Alba whistles from my site, www.gaeliccrossings.com

Aodhan

McChastain, what’s Cillian web site ?

Aodhan, what’s different between order from you or directly from Alba ?!
I mean, I don’t mind to make you earn SOME money, but I don’t have any money right now, sorry. ( incase you could give me a deal or… )

LK

The best way to obtain Cillian’s whistles are through us, www.whistleanddrum.com or Shannaquay (www.shannaquay.com).

Best,

Um… Overton kicks some serious…!!!
Chris

ChrisLaughlin, as far as I know, overton don’t have addtional tube like Alba whistle to change key.

correct me if i’m wrong :i found an alba low D whistle on clips&snipes sounding very similar to a burke composite.
of course i’II have to learn to lean in breath, but it’s also louder.
what i don’t know is the sort of alliminium used, on an overton (non anodized) there’s this black stain comming of. but you won’t find this on a burke alli!!
what would the alba low c be like in material??
