I just got this splendid album published in Germany.
“Lights in the Dark” produced by Hector Zazou.

Amazing. A must-have for any fans of Irich songs.

Note that this CD also features the keyboard master Ryuichi Sakamoto, but his piano playing is heard only in the track #6. Gives somewhat an eerie expression to the darker celtic realm. Also, Japanese/Oriental instrument Koto is also used on track 10, Duan Chroí &Iacuteosa. I never imagined that I could hear Koto in such context (I played it when I was a child, at my grandparents’…though I was basically just banging my fingers against it). I am amazed. Fusion of Wabisabi and Celtic, sort of.

Carlos Nunez also appears, playing ocarina and flute.

My favourite track is the #7, Amhrán Na Páise. Simply lovely. I just found the lyrics to the track on the web..I’ll try to learn the song from this winter break.
