Since this is a music message board, I thought I’d post this.
For all true Beatles fans, Let It Be…Naked, is scheduled (subject to change) to be released on November 18th.
For those who don’t know, Paul McCartney took the original Let It Be album and edited out all of the strings, choirs, etc., that Phil (the cheating thief) Spector added to the original album.
This should be a real treat, indeed, for all Beatles fans, as well as any true musician who loves “purity” in music.
As an aside, just to be sure I get it when it first comes out, I ordered my copy this morning from Best Buy!
I was gonna ask if there are strings and horns on many cuts. I could only think of Let it Be and Long and Winding Road. Then Across the Universe popped into my head, then I Me Mine. So probably other cuts do, too. This is just the English version, too; the American mixes of some songs have a lot more, especially horns.
