Flutemaker John Gallagher and myself are hosting a small house concert featuring Joey Abarta (with Jackie O’Riley and Owen Marshall) on the evening of May 29th in Elkins, West Virginia. Joey has offered to give some one-on-one piping lessons throughout the day before the concert, if there is interest. Times and material are flexible, based on the student’s wishes. Please contact me via email or PM for further details.
Elkins is roughly 2.5 hours from Pittsburgh, PA, 3.5 hours from Washington, DC, and 4 hours from Richmond, VA or Columbus, OH. We are centrally located in the middle of nowhere, but it is beautiful country, and the remote location will allow you to leave your daily responsibilities behind and focus on your piping!
You’ll also have the opportunity to tour John’s flute workshop and examine some of his very fine work: http://gallagherflutes.com/
Thanks,
Andy
