I live in Sterling Heights, Michigan which is around 30 miles north of Detroit. I would like to know if anyone might know of a teacher that teaches the low whistle. I am very interested in taking lessons. Yes, I am a beginner.
Thank you,
bw

Probaly your best bet for lessons is to go to the Thursday night meetings for Comhaltas. They meet over at the Finnish Cultural Center on 8 Mile Rd. ( about a mile east of I-275). I know that’s quite a hike for you, but hey it could be worse, I’m in Fair Haven! If Tyler Duncan is there he might be able to show you a few things, fabulous musician, great teacher. Had him for uilleann pipes lesson at the last Tionol. They have tinwhistle lessons there as well, bound to be somebody there to show you a few things.
Here’s their website: www.irishmusic.nu/
Good luck!
