G’day all,
I’m trying to find the name of a film I saw about 10 years ago.It was ‘Tribute’ sort of a thing where different Muso’s and bands played on stage while Les was in the audience..He plays a few tunes at the end too
There’s a blistering piece of Guitar Shred
from yer man Eddie van Halen that I really enjoyed too .
I’d like to buy a copy of this film ,would anyone know the title…and perhaps where I could get it ?
All the best from OZ…
Thanks Denny,
I dont think that’s it though…No mention of Eddie van Halen in the credits and I’d say that it would be at least 10 ,maybe 15 years ago that I first saw the programme…A Tribute to Les Paul has a production date as 2007…
having, finally, actually listened to the clip… (assuming some, to be unnamed lurker, sent me the right link… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wkd8RiekKU
)
How’s about the 1988 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony?
Good luck finding it
There are rumors that the hall released a nine cd box set of inductions recently.
Denny, you’re an absolute legend …you’ve found the shredding Eddie ! ..riffing along to the Van Halen classic,Hot for Teacher,IMHO,the best rock song ever written …
Thats the programme alright..now to do some more detective work and find a dvd of it…I cant remember who else was on the show ,but I reckon it would be a dvd well worth looking for…
Thanks mate
no…the “unnamed lurker” emailed a link to the youtube clip
it was here in the morning…what’s good 'cause
I might not have remembered to look for it.
The rest was easy Les mentioned 1988 while talking to Eddie.
