OK then, any of you piping vinyl anoraks out there know how many original pressings were made of this record or how many shillings they go for these days?

Mat, I would think Claddagh could tell you that better than anyone else. Are you antique shopping? The album has been available on CD for a while now.

I was told there were various covers to it; one had Leo sitting next to an Irish Wolfhound (as featured on the back of Drones and Chanters). Another was a line drawing of a fox chase. Tally Ho!
This one has Leo sitting with his pipes, but no deer hound!
Up until about 5 years ago, there was a guy in Co Durham who dealt in remainder and second hand LPs. He usually had a copy of the Claddagh Rowsome LP for about £3. So it’s not that rare. By way of comparison the first de Dannan LP on Polydor was offered at £20 and the first Planxty album was £15.
Availability of some of these once rare LPs on CD has knocked the collectability of vinyl.
