If anyone was thinking of going to Lentefolk Festival this coming Saturday night unfortunately it is cancelled. We received an email from the organisers to tell us. What a shame, the line up would have been brilliant with Jean Michel Veillon, Comos (Sylvain Barou) and North Cregg. There was also to be half a dozen instrument makers there. There was not enough presale tickets sold so they decided to cancel it.
I am sorry for bringing no better news for those who may have thought of going there.
WHAAAT?? I live so close and I didn’t even know the festival was there! What a shame, could have been a great oppurtunity to see those great names and makers.
I’ll have to make sure to bookmark their webpage so I won’t forget it next time. Maybe one more ticket would’ve been enough to continue the festival.

It would have been the first festival and it was promising a great event from the line up. Some of the organisers are brilliant musicians themselves, which explains the good taste in choosing the performing artists. We do not know yet if they give it another try next year.
I just heard from a piper he expected to see Sylvain Barou at St-Laurent sur Oust festival, precisely this coming week-end. He was there last year, anyway…
