Another requirement is that you not be able to get to your poling place because of work commitments. Our polls are open from 8 to 8 and very few people are in situations where they cannot get to the polls outside of work time.
That said, I think many employers use a more flexible interpretation of that situation and allow work time voting just “to be safe.”
Some employers use give their employees the day off. Woooo- hooo!
