I must agree with Terry. if we can’t have normal conversation without fear of panic and censorship then I must coalesce with him and say I won’t be visiting either. I know it is of little consequence since I am more of a reader than a contributor but I had to say it.

I don’t agree with Terry’s decision to leave although I can appreciate the possible psychological grounds that inform his action.
I also appreciate the difficulties that forum owner and moderators face at times and sometimes all parties act in clumsy ways at times ( and I am one myself)
One thing that internet forums are good for is to develop our ability to particpate in intense discussions and to learn to communicate in different ways subject to the "vagaries’ of fresh requirements (due to the greater variance of personalities we encounter globally).
The thing is made more difficult when moderators need to continually assess wheteher the content of their post is a moderator action or a member contribution to the discussion.
I had already suggested some time ago that such persons should have two separate ID - one as a moderator and another as member. BUt nothing is perfect, not even my suggestion probably.
i would like to personally thank you for expressing your sentiment here. It restores my faith in the idea that Australians and Americans do have some sense of dignity and sense of fair play in their sensibilities even though our interpretation of how we must act on them will differ from individual to individual. So I sincerely hope that neither you nor Terry will leave. (Especially as I havent yet had the pleasure of interacting with you to date)

I must object to this blatant slur against thread. It’s really not based in any scientific study as to the intellectual capacities of thread… and don’t start me about cork - cork must be the worst of the lot of 'em with all that Beamish, and the silly sing-song accents, and the manky black pudding and all that…
it’s okay…Cork has been removed quite a while back and I believe that we are without Thread too.

To Terry and to his supporters, I say: Get over yourselves. This is not The Whole World. We are none of us perfect. C&F will continue with or without any one of us.

The Frog guy is not perfect, nor is Dale. But it is their playground and they set the rules. If you don’t like it, go elsewhere. But don’t blame them if you choose to walk out of the playground. It’s your (and Terry’s) choice.

The former, IMO, is ego. If the mods made a Federal Case

Before I run to class, I just wanted to say that Step off Noob had me laughing so loud that the Librarian shushed me. I haven’t been on this thread in a while…CUZ I’VE BEEN PLAYING MY FLUTE! What a shocker. I for one will continue to be a goof when things get tense because I have in the past gotten riled up, and for that I apologize to the mods. But it was interesting to read about the case of the flute strangler.
I ain’t leaving, and I must say…I’m pretty darn important AND fantastic. Maybe my allure will lure the elusive Terry McGee back to the board.
I like it. Maybe something like Corky and Fred?
