Dale,
Thanks for your reply.
I am looking for something that is leather type that is obviously harder
than say a cloth case. I have an Oak D Whistle at this time and wanted a
case for it. I have seem people who have them with a snap type cover and
come have a belt loop. I had not thought about having the case be for more
than one. Do you have anything for the one I have?
Charlie
The Whistle Shop makes vinyl cases
with a belt loop–I bought several
and, while not leather, they certainly
work very well. Also less expensive–
for what it’s worth.
For a high D a piece of 3/4" pvc pipe with end caps works nicely, you can cut slits in the back of the pipe to slip a belt through it, decorate it any way you like and it is virtually indestructable.
A company called Reunion Blues, (located in San Francisco, CA), used to make a product called a “piccollo quiver”, that was a leather pouch, with a belt loop attachment. It was the perfect size for a whistle pouch.
Though they haven’t made this product in awhile, they might respond to requests for the item with a potential new market.
Best of luck!

Please feel free to drop me an email and I’ll be glad to talk to you about the cases I make. Here’s a couple of pictures of a case a made for WanderingWhistler

Hey! that looks like my floor!
In all seriousness, the whistle case Lee made me is great! While Lee intended it for a D/C whisle combination, I’ve been using it to hold my D/Bb Silkstone pair (which worked out fine after pushing a big dowel into the C side to work it a bit). I’ve taken it with me every time I’ve gone to the Rennaisance Festival this year (which is when I’m mostly likely to have a whistle on my belt).
When my wife saw the case Lee made for me, she said (quite sheepishly) “That looks better than the ones you’ve made”..and I could aught but agree.
