Leahy in quebec, i was impressed, but no whistler

I saw leahy, a celtic/pop band from ontario, at expo-quebec in quebec city this weekend. I had never really listened much to them before, but was truly impressed by their energy and their ability to entertain a varied crowd. The only thing missing from their act is a whistler. Maybe chiff and fipple should send them a letter demanding that they teach one of the brothers or sisters the tin whistle (they are a family of 9 who play) :stuck_out_tongue:

I saw Leahy a few years ago when they opened for Shania Twain. I would’ve been happy if they had just kept playing, forget about Shania. I agree they are very entertaining and energetic.

They also were at Milwaukee Irish Fest this year but I only saw them walking by - they had a huge crowd.

And for all the those Leahy and Natalie McMaster fans, Natalie is marrying Donnell Leahy (another fiddler) in September. What kind of family are they going to have?

Natalie was at the Tecumseh Corn Fest this past Saturday. Tecumseh is a small sub-urban city just east of Windsor, Ontario. Great Show.
