One for the UK members perhaps, but did anyone see the piper accompanying Barbara Dickson on the Scottish section last night?
Does anyone know who he is and what was the name of the tune he was playing?
Interesting that they had the Uillean pipes in the Scottish section! I’m sure a few highland pipers rasied an eyebrow!

His name was Troy Donockley, | missed the broadcast but was aware of his presence. He plays with a band called Iona ( http://www.iona.uk.com/ )and has been working with Barbara Dickson for a while. I believe that he performed some songs from the album ‘Full Circle’, which he has worked on with her. Troy comes frome Cumbria, for more info his website is:

Hya Keith hows the Big Smoke?..I’m glad they used UPs…given we are by far and away the largest ethnic grouping in Scotland and always have been(after all Scotland got its name frae the Irish) it won’t do the Heelans any harm to realise we exist,big time!! 
Re-reading that 24 hours later, I should like to make clear that that was a dig at classical musicians, not Upipers. And not all classical musicians: some of my best friends are classical musicians. But most of them are still idiots.
