Does anyone have insights to the type of flute and/or the maker that Tony Roberts used on John Renbourn’s classic album The Lady and the Unicorn - its a very fine sound indeed.

well, I don’t have an exact liner note of that cd, but I see tony robert in concert with john here in rome and he only plays a boehm flute. (he played a yamaha becouse his flute had been lost by the airport). I know that he also plays sax, clarinet and other boehm sistem woodwind so I don’t think he plays any simple sistem flute
I’ve just checked the liner notes on the CD. They just say that Roberts plays flute. At one point Renbourn says that he wasn’t interested in exactly recreating early music but wanted to give an accurate impression of what it would sound like ‘on more recent instruments.’ I suppose that leaves it an open question what kind of flute was used
