Is his name Larry? I have a CD with a variety of whistlers and pipers and a Larry McCullough plays on it, along with Bill Ochs and others.
I used to run into him once in a while when he lived in Indianapolis and his friends called him Larry then.

I was in a workshop with whistler/piper/fluter Tim Britton and he was talking about someone named Larry McCullough. After a few minutes I went “Ohhh, you mean L.E. McCullough!” Tim laughed and said “Yeah, Le McCullough.”
Anyway…I gues you had to be there…it was funny at the time.

A few years ago I had reason to exchange some Emails with L.E, after the first one I asked his name, as I didn’t want to keep saying “Dear L.E”.
He seemed to ignore the question which I thought was slightly strange. I have since been lead to believe he is a bit coy about being called Larry!
I of course could be wrong.
