If anyone is in north New Jersey this Thursday Dec. 23, come see our Fitzgerald’s 1928 session at 13 Herman St., Glen Ridge NJ led by visiting host fiddler extraordinaire Heather Bixler. She and her husband David have a new CD out (he’s an amazing jazz saxophonist), and it will be our last session of the year. More info at — http://www.lemccullough.com/LEMcCullough/Whats_New.html
Hope everyone learned some good tunes in 2010… I’m trying to learn (or re-learn) 1 tune a day in 2011 as my primary New Year’s Resolution. Or I may do what our local blues guitarist Christine Santelli did, make 100 performance videos in 100 days. I dunno, that’s a lot of work, but you have to have a goal, and she nailed hers.
Best wishes to all for a Terrific New Year!
