Kyoto protocol on greenhouse emissions

In case those of you living in Foxland weren’t aware, the Kyoto](http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4267245.stm%3EKyoto) protocol finally entered into force after Dubya’s pal Vlad the Inhaler was won over. It’s generally recognised to be grossly inadequate, but you have to start somewhere

Suppose we’ll just have to wait until the fall of the Halliburton régime before the world’s greatest polluter joins up.

The Kyoto Protocol will fail, the leading industrial countries (all inclusive, the governments, the people) don’t have the courage or the will to implement it, not if it means dramatically changing their individual lifestyle.
