I have a K&Q Full set in C, ebony/brass/mammoth Ivory trim that i am considering selling. The set was made in 2002 and can be seen on the uilleann obsession website in the K&Q extras section (except then it was a 3/4 set). My reason is that due to an accident I had a while back It is harder to play a C set than a D. I play my D chanter much more easily, and I find the C set sitting. To even consider this is tough. Hence, I will be taking offers and take it from there. This is one of Davids few (if only) mammoth sets.
After much consideration, and a few “what are you nuts?” from the wife, I have decided to not sell the C set. As some have suggested, it might be better to wait and see how my recovery goes before I give this set up. To those who responded , thank you, and i appreciate your suggestions.
P.S. stay out of car accidents, they slow down your fingers.
Well, if you decide to sell it I have a student in town who just finished college, now has some cash, and would probably make the purchase as he is enamored with my beehive set. So, if a fit of insanity grips you, or if your wife goes nuts too, then let me know and I’ll put the student in touch with you.
