I met Kirk Lynch today. He attended the 2nd meeting of the Kansas City area pipers. Out of a battered old case, he pulled out a set of pipes that looked to have been cobbled together some time around the turn of the 19th century. I thought it was going to fall apart in his hands. He fired it up and made the most wonderful noise with it. He and some of the more seasoned players had a nice session, while we beginners just sat there and admired the great music. He then gave my set of pipes the once over, pronounced them good and gave me some hints and tips on playing. What a nice man and what a great day.
Anima, can you tell me whether Lynch is taking orders and how long is the wait, for a practice set?
I can’t seem to find out how to contact him. Thanks
BUT, but… I just found below that kirk is having a very rough time, with his eye. How is that going? Is he alright? Perhaps he’s not even making pipes at this time. Forgive me!
