I have a version of that song by The Dubliners, and was wondering does anybody sing a more upbeat version of it, or if a woman sings it?
You know when it goes ‘And Danny Farrel, he’s a man’? What exactly is that supposed to mean?
Given the long listing of failings that leads up to that line, I’ve always taken it to mean that, against the odds, he’s still anatomically intact. Any better suggestions?
