Extremely advance warning for all you whistle fans…

I went to a talk at the Cooley/Collins festival in Gort by Joe Skelton on the life and music of Kieran Colins on the 30th October, where we were treated to some really nice private recordings of Kieran Collins. Joe is Kieran’s nephew and hopes to launch a CD of some of these recordings at next year’s festival.

I for one will look forward to that. Joe is a very talented player himself, on both flute and whistle. I never knew he was related to Kieran Collins, who deserves to be much better known. Thanks for the advance information.
