Is their some standardization wich finger of left or right hand you use for the Cnatkey, Bflat Gsharp or Fnatural key on a Dchanter.
Kilkee, not all makers set up the chanter keys the same, so that’s not necessarily an easy question to respond to. Basically, whatever works best for you.
If your Cnat key is the kind that runs straight up the back of the chanter, you could use the thumb of the lower hand.
If your Bb/A# key is the short, left side-mounted kind, use the little finger of your upper hand.
If your Ab/G# key is the right side-mountd kind, use the thumb of the lower hand. Personally, I find my thumb is too long to do this, so I use the inside of the bottom knuckle of my lower hand index finger.
I your Fnat key is the short, left side-mounted kind, use the little finger of the upper hand.
