I caught Lunasa twice this weekend at the North Texas Irish Festival. It was probably the best live show I’ve seen, they are simply amazing musicians. Watching Kevin Crawford play just boggles my mind. It also makes me want to lock myself in an empty room and practice for hours on end.
And, the flute gods smiled upon me, I found a copy of his “D flute album” at one of the vendor booths. I’ve been hearing about this album for a long time and haven’t had any luck finding a copy. It’s as good as they say.
I also broke down a bought a cheap bombarde just to see how much I can annoy the neighbors. Hopefully I won’t see a mob on my front yard waving torches and pitchforks anytime soon.
If nothing else, that damn thing will increase my diaphram strength.
