Kerry Low D on eBay

I just want to mention that this is actually the best Kerry I have played, and it plays quite well and easily in both octaves. I got it in a lot (I really wanted the Abell) and I have the Reyburn Low D. For some reason, I want only one Low D whistle. I know, it doesn’t fit my personality. I prefer flutes for Low D, anyway. But here is a decent Low D whistle at a low price. Thanks for looking.

Jessie, you ALWAYS take such great pictures. Keep up the good work!

I really like my Kerry Low D, which is an easy, beautiful player. Tyghress has one that isn’t quite as nice in terms of tone & second-octave ease. So they vary a bit I guess, and if Jessie says this one plays well, you may want to pick it up. I think they make great first Low Ds (much better than Susatos, for instance) because the hole spacing for the lower hand is really pretty easy because the sixth hole isn’t dropped as low as on the other low Ds I’ve seen (but the holes are large).

In a fit of random acts of kindness that I nearly instantaneously regret, the Kerry Low D I had, and REALLY REALLY liked a lot, was given to someone else who expressed and interest…but then, that’s how the whistle came to me in the first place, a random act of kindness from Pixyy…hey, where IS Pixyy?

oh where oh where can my Pixyy be, or where or where can she be?

Sorry, could not help myself - feeling very silly today

uhm…
HERE!!!

Sounds great; a travelling whistle given with kindness to low-whistle-less whistle players.
Reminds me of a letter of Benjamin Franklin, where he writes to a fellow in need of money that he is not rich enough to GIVE him the money. Instead he lends it to him. The way to repay would be to extend the same service to the next man he meets in similar need…

all the best,
