Does anyone have a fingering chart for an alto Kelisheck gemshorn? Mine is in F and I am trying to figure the fingering out. Also does anyone know if Noah Harbison is still making the collapsible tinwhistles?

I don’t have the chart. But the Susato website states that “Gemshorns … use the same fingerings as recorders. A range of one octave and a minor third is available.”
So the first octave of an F sopranino/alto/bass recorder fingering chart should give you the fingerings you want, from F x|xxx|xxxx up to g o|oxo|oooo. I’m guessing that all fingers off then gets you to the minor 3rd (g#).

The semitones would be different, though. You just can’t get tthem right with recorder fingering.
Try playing the next note up (recorder fingering), and flatten by leaving the next hole open, while covering the one next to that. If that is too flat, open it and move onto the next down.
You may be right, Yuri. I see that our own Walden did a [u]write-up[/u] on the Susato gemshorn a few years ago, so he would know the Susato cross fingerings, and if the Susato blurb (“use the same fingerings as recorders”) is accurate.
I’m sure the Kelischeks (Susato) would be happy to supply a fingering chart if asked.
The Wikipedia article on gemshorns gives a basic diatonic chart (also supplied by Walden). It’s for a C gemshorn, so just transpose it up a 4th (or down a 5th) for F: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gemshorn
