June McCormack & Michael Rooney are touring N. America this year. Anybody heard this duo? I have not heard June (flute) I have heard Michael play harp but not his concertina.

which includes some sound samples from the group Siona. There had been samples from a demo CD, but looks like that’s been pulled. Hopefully they will completed a commercial CD in time for the U.S. tour. I look forward to seeing them (and meeting June) on August 15th, closest date to me in Los Angeles.

They were recording at the Malbay studios last month, guest musicians flocking in. The CD is in the process anyhow.
Thanks for the info. They will be performing here at our annual Irish Festival in early Sept. We are all very much looking forward to hearing them, and hopefully they will have their new CD with them for us to purchase!
It looks like she’s going to be teaching at Irish Arts in East Durham this year.
