What a beautiful family you have! I’ll bet playing music really adds to the kids self-esteem. I’m sure such a large family attracts attention to your performances!
Forget about the instruments, Doc… what an astounding family! How about a link to some sound clips of the band?
Self esteem is just the beginning! I can attest to the total graciousness and manners of this family. While in Idaho earlier this year Renee and I had the opportunity to visit with the Jones family (sans Mrs. Doc Jones). Every child was as behaved as could be expected for their particular age and circumstances. I did not get the impression that they were under any “Behave or else” mandates either.
Everyone took their responsibilities seriously and pitched in while mom was gone.
It was fun to hear the stories behind how some of the children came to live with the Jones’. Some of the circumstances were truely miraculous. To hear about their adaptation to life in this country and how each has taken to music. All but the two youngest played for us either solo or in small groups. They were working on something for those two to do soon.
I will soon be calling Doc and his family “neighbor” since we will be moving to that area of the country and building a home soon.
Wow, what a family. I sometimes wondered why you seemed to be doing so much buying and selling, Doc. Now all is revealed. ![]()
Now THAT’S cool!!!
Good luck with the sales, and we look forward to some clips!
Heather M.
Thanks all,
They’re great kids and pretty good musicians. ![]()
We just a got asked to do the entertainment for a fund-raiser dinner for our US senator (yes, Idaho has senators).
Further evidence of our nation’s poilitical decline I’m afraid.
$100 bucks a plate if anybody’s interested.
Actually the kids are quite exited. We home-school them and have recently been studying the three branches of government, the congress, the legislative process, etc. So when they heard that Senator Craig wanted them to come play they were Really charged up. They jumped and screamed and laughed and bounced around for about an hour.
Last time I saw anything like that was the time I fed them all Fruit Loops for breakfast…scary.
