Joint wax/grease

A few month back I posted a few pictures of an old(ish) flute my grandfather had.
It wasn’t anything special, a german flute from the turn of the century.

Lately I startet playing on it again, and to be honest, it playes quite well. Though I don’t think it is tuned to A440, could this be?

But my main question is, what kind of wax or grease can I used best for the joints (3part flute)? It is wood, and some sort of cork.

Yes, it could well be lower in pitch than modern Concert Pitch.

Just buy a pot or lipstick of woodwind joint/cork grease from a music shop or off the Internet. It shouldn’t be expensive.
