I had the pleasure to see Celtic Woman last night at the Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA. Four incredible singers and a wonderful musical production consisiting of a piano, guitar, bass, two percussionists, and an uilleann piper/whistle.
During the break I went and introduced myself to the piper who happened to be Mick O’Brien’s younger brother, John O’Brien.
John was playing an Alain Froment concert D full set, several Chieftain whistles and a Burke session D whistle.
I highly recommend seeing the show when it tours again.
