B.B.C. One are showing a programme in the ‘Imagine’ series tonight (10.35 pm).The programme blurb states “Alan Yentob follows the physical and spiritual journeys Coltrane made during his hugely influential career.” 
Should be worth looking at,especially timely as Elvin Jones-drummer with the ‘Classic Quartet’- died two weeks ago.
Elvin is gone?!? Aww man, what a shame 
I saw Elvin play years ago, back when I was still playing the drums, he was something else.
Love Coltrane, too bad I won’t be able to catch the BBC show, hmph.
