John and William Neal's collection

I’ve been listening to The Mad Buckgoat by the Baltimore Consort a lot lately. Some mighty fine whistle playing (on a Thin Weasel) by Chris Norman; I’m glad to hear someone else mention him recently. But that’s not the primary attraction, the songs and tunes are. As with most Baltimore Consort albums, the tunes are old, as are the sources. There’s a different feel to the music, partly due to the playing and arrangements, but also I think the music changed somewhat between the 17th and 19th centuries.

Many of the tunes are taken from _A collection of the most celebrated Irish tunes," by John and William Neal, originally printed in 1724. From the web search I did, it appears that only one copy survived into the 19th century. The Folk Music Society of Ireland reprinted it (I believe from a 19th c. edition) in 1986, but it’s no longer available. I haven’t been able to find it at any of the standard used-book sources.

Anyone have any tips on where to come by one, or does anyone have one that they’re willing to lend or copy (within the limits of the law)?
