Last night I bought the Kathy Mattea CD “Roses”. Three songs have Joanie playing whistle. Then to my surprise, listed in the credits was Jesse Kislin. Does anyone know if Jesse also played on the CD? If you like Kathy Mattea, it’s a great CD.
Thanks for noticing. I got this CD as part of a birthday present this year, and that surprise made it quite a present, indeed. In fact, the giver knew nothing of the liner notes.
I did not play on the CD, but while I was living in Nashville, I ran into Kathy at a bunch of Irish (and other) music events and eventually started talking to her. I gave her a Burke C# composite whistle when she was in need. Another time, I lent B natural and E natural whistles to her. So I guess she appreciated it. 
She spelled my name incorrectly, but some people, you forgive. Made me want to change the spelling of my name.

Well, I can’t thank you in liner notes Jesse, but I can thank you in this post. Last year you privately emailed me and suggested a Copley flute. I got mine about 6 months ago, and love it. It’s wonderful, great sound. I compare it with my O’Riordan whistles, very accurate and in tune. Thanks alot.

Nope! No G# whistle, either.
Plum forgot about that key. Hmmm… so there are four keys I don’t have (F#, G#, B, C#.) I must not have WhOA too badly, I don’t have an overwhelming desire to have any of them.
