I know this has been discussed before, but not in great detail (at least recently). I’m wondering if anyone who understands chemistry can tell me if there’s actually a problem habitually putting Jet-Dry on an aluminum alloy whistle like a Kerry/Goldie/Overton for purposes of reducing clogging. I’ve heard people claim it can cause corrosion, but other people claim this worry is overstated and that it’s unlikely to cause any harm.
This is an important question to me, because applying Jet-Dry every time I play (and playing with the Jet-Dry still wet) is the only consistent fix I’ve found to clogging on aluminum whistles.
Thoughts?
