glad to hear it! had you posted in a less than living condition i would have been greatly concerned
So glad to hear you are alive and well, my friend. And the Blacktop you sent me for my old useless nickel-plated Clare has turned it into quite a fine instrument.
Best to 'ye, Mack. Our twin birthday is coming up in a month. I don’t feel older, do you?

I find myself practicing with my Gen/Whitetop combo almost all of the time. I like to be kind to my ears and practice with quiet whistles. It’s less cloggy than my Cillian O Briain Feadog and quieter than my Oak.
There are some changes at Whistles by Mack
A few price changes and some never ordered whistles removed and a new entry or two.

It’s my birthday present to myself, Byll!
Happy one to you and my daughter born on my 31st and to George on whose 21st I was born. I’m not saying which one you were born on, but I AM older!
No not Washington; I’m not THAT old
Mack & Bill:
It would not be unreasonable to keep your eyes peeled for some small token, in acknowledgment of you both turning 21 (would that be for the second or third time?), from Broooklyn to you both. That having been said, it would be difficult indeed for me to repay either of you for all that you have done for me since I began this sojourn approximately 7 years ago.
Many Happy Returns!!
Tom D.
Sooooo, just, exactly, when is the anniversary day of all these births?
… and have a great day, both of you (& Mack’s daughter, too!) … whenever it gets here …

mack - the manjo looks beautiful! wowzer!
i assume it frets like a mandolin, but sounds like a banjo???
Wow…Thanks, Tom…and all.
Are you gonna tell 'em, or should I, Mack?
cheers.

I am really impressed with Mack’s new Black Tips. Mack was kind enough to provide me with a low D, Eb, F, G, A, and a high C over the past few months. I have nothing but good things to say about these whistles. My Burke D and Bb cover the rest of this scale. I am fortunate to have whistles from the finest two whistle makers.

I recently aquired myself one of macks brass Bb trad bore whistles…
or rather, it came down the chimney christmas morning with a few
other goodies
Its a great instrument, very balanced and responsive
through both octaves…its become one of my favourites as has the key
of Bb.
Great work mack.

I’ll tell when yours is Bill, but not mine: 2/17
I do need to make a correction in case Norma is watching. She was born on my 32nd birthday not 31st.
Randy I don’t want to say lest I become the subject of those hurtful banjo jokes.
Come on up and hear it in person!

Just so long as it doesn’t sound like a bodhran.
Ah, man, Mack…Ya had to go and tell 'em MY birthday, but keep yours a secret. There is no justice. And since I am such a gentleman, I will keep your secret for you…
I didn’t think much about it till now, but I am about to begin my 7th decade on this planet. Scary…
You, Mack, being so much younger, probably don’t understand…yet…
Cheers.

I’ll be a 12 pack of 6’s. (or a six pack of twelves) Ran out of fingers and toes…
I still can’t figure out when a decade begins or a century either…
Thanks for keeping me young and protecting my secret!
Mac!<
Correction:
Today I discovered I turned 71 NOT 72
Byll turned something, too.
Happy Byrthday Byll!

Happy Birthday, Mack. I love your mando-banjo, or banjo-mando, or …
You are the best, my friend.
Byll
