and I’m as happy as a pig in…well, you know. It’s the little things in life that bring me happiness. It’s been so darn hot here, that I’m welcoming the change in temperature and the rain which means I won’t have to water my teeny tiny garden later.
I think I’ll go out and dance around in the rain for a while, and in the process give the neighbors more cause to think I’ve lost my mind

I heartily disagree with you Dub. My useless posts are truly useless on so many levels, while yours tend to be only a linear uselessness (HA! I made that up, can you tell? ). So, while your posts do tend toward uselessness, they just can’t compare to mine in their depth and therefore don’t really count in the scheme of things.
When I lived in Vancouver, B.C., we had a large rainy season (sometimes accompanied by fog) and we had a lot of what we called “grey days,” so whenever it rains or we have overcast days I get really homesick for Vancouver.
ewwww…I hope that doesn’t happen here. Although I think there is a cold front going through, and so I’m very hopeful that it means the humidity will dissipate for at least a little while.
I was getting bored with the old one..you know how I am. Besides, I just re-read the story of Hero and Leander, and my romantic notions took over as usual (as always happens when I read that story) and so I decided to be “Hero” for a little while I’m sure that in a few days, I’ll be someone different yet again
I remember days like that when I lived outside of Seattle. I have to admit that when it’s rainy like this, I get a bit homesick for the area as well. There is a certain amount of romance behind dreary, rainy skies. And I think I need to take a break from Roman Mythology for a little while, since it seems I’m obsessed with the romanticism of everything as of late
When I lived in Irving Texas it used to rain sometimes.
It also rained when I lived in Duluth Minnesota and Meridian Mississippi.
Once I got drenched in Ft. Lauderdale. Narrowly missed getting wet once in Key West. I believe it rained when I lived in Denison Iowa and a few times in Portsmouth Virginia. Now in Oakland CA it would sometimes rain, but it precipitates here in Kalamazoo Michigan. I don’t recall much rain in San Diego. Did I mention the rain in Midland TX? Flash flood weather it was.
I remember once we had four weeks without rain…they called it a drought. being from the desert I found it humourus…we can go an entire year without precipitation in the most extreme.
I found it very cool that no one has sprinkler systems up there…they just rely on the rain!
We could use some rain too right now. We have been spending about $90 a day just to run the irrigation system to water the “grass” for the cows to graze!
When the rain gets to the edge of the mountain, it dissipates before it can cross over to our side of the mountain. :roll:
