This is track three on the “Irish Evening DVD” and is made up of three different slides from the region Co. Kerry. I’ve been searching (on the net) for this tune/s under the name listed on the DVD but haven’t had any luck.
If anyone happens to know names of the tunes in this set. That’d be great. It’ll help my search to-no-end.
Who is on the DVD? I’m not familiar with it, but many musicians play sets they’re familiar with, so if you know who is playing, it might help others give you some possibilities. “Round the House and Mind the Dresser” is itself a reel by Charlie Lennon, but several albums have used this name for the album or a track made up of other tunes, e.g. Chieftains 6, track 8. It was a common warning to dancers at house parties.
Djm, the artists are The Chieftains (Paddy Moloney, Derek ‘Dingdong’ Obell, Seann Kean, Martin Fay, Kevin Coneff). Guest artists are Roger Doltry and Nancy Griffith. The concert was broadcassted live to the Republic and N. Ireland during the early 90’s by RTE and the BBC. BMG released the session on DVD a year ago
Well, I haven’t heard or seen that particular recording so I may well be talking out of my hat. However, here’s a Chieftains set that starts with Round the House and Mind the Dresser. Perhaps it’s the same set. Apologies in advance if I’m wrong.

I don’t understand ABC language at all (only sheet music and English). I was wondering if you could post them on The Session. If it’s not to much to ask. It’d be much appreciated.
What volgare words accomapnie the last tune (eek). Is that by any chance the volgar tune that ‘Ding Dong Obell’ refers to in ‘Water From The Well’ (the one his Aunt wrote)?

Thanks for the tune names after reeding the sheet music they sound like the correct tunes.
