It troubles me when I write as if I failed English 101.
It troubles me when I sell something on ebay, and the buyer, who lives in a foreign country, cannot receive my emails because of his spam blocker or other security software.
I have installed all of the security patches for Windows XP from Microsoft. I wonder how many of my incoming emails are suffering the same fate?
Doug—Are we supposed to complete the sentence in your title or are we supposed to offer a solution for your problem? I can do the first, but unfortunately not the second. It does sound very annoying. 
I’ve heard that some people have been having this trouble, Doug. Their ISPs are blocking whole countries and domains.
Earthlink shows me what they blocked, so I can review it and make sure nothing I want is in there. So far, it has been blocking only things that should have been blocked. I don’t think they are doing any blanket blocking, either. They allow you to turn off the blocking entirely.
I have Norton Internet Security at the top of my security bundle, but Earthlink, my ISP, and Microsoft Outlook Express all have their hand in the security of my incoming email to some extent. I have the Earthlink spam blocker turned off. I have been deleting the spam file without reviewing it. I guess I need to review it first. However, I do know that I cannot receive an email from Talasiga in Australia, although I don’t seem to have a problem with Australia in general. I also am curious as to how all of the drug ad emails and others are getting through the spam blocker
I removed the word “hate” from the title so as to soften it somewhat. Feel free to give me specific advice on how to communicate with people, where their email got to me, but when I try to send to their email address, the email is returned as undeliverable.
If you feel like complete the sentence “It troubles me when …”, go ahead.
Hmmm, that’s the same setup I have, except that I use Earthlink’s email thing and not Outlook Express. Why don’t we see if I can get email from Talasiga? That’ll give us a clue.
